Beetroot Smoothie 

Cal = +/- 185 (with yoghurt and milk added)

This smoothie is great for energy, weight loss and helps with hypertension.

You need:

  • 1 raw beetroot – washed and skinned
  • ½ cup of frozen berries
  • add cinnamon to flavour
  • green tea
  • linseed oil

Method:

  • Make green tea and let it stand in the fridge overnight
  • add ½ cup linseed oil, add the beetroot and berries.
  • Mix everything together.

Variation:

  • You can also add 175ml yoghurt and/or half of the amount of milk allowed per day
  • If you exercise very often: add ¼ frozen banana
